Once, I was too overweight to play with my kids without gasping for breath. That was my wake-up call. I knew I had to make a change, not just for me, but for my family. So, I embarked on a journey that transformed my life in ways I never imagined.
Initially, I tried dieting alone, managing to walk and starve myself down about ten pounds. But I quickly realized I needed a structured plan. That’s when I joined Weight Watchers. It wasn’t just a diet but a learning curve, teaching me to make healthier choices. With dedication to the program and regular walking, I dropped nearly 60 pounds and reached my Lifetime weight.
However, reaching a healthy BMI wasn’t the end. I looked fine in clothes, but without them, I was what you’d call “skinny-fat.” I had lost weight, but I didn’t feel fit. I needed a fitness plan as structured and effective as my weight loss plan.
That’s when I discovered 80/20 Endurance principles. I started with their running training plans, gradually building my stamina. From a 5k to a 10k, and eventually, marathons. But not just any marathon—I took on Leadville, the nation’s highest and toughest marathon.
I’m a Certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Specialist and on a continuous learning path. I’m working on my certification as a Fitness Nutrition Coach and an 80/20 Endurance Coach. The more I learn, the more I realize how much misinformation exists.
Now, I’m on a mission to help others. I’ve been where you are. I’ve felt the frustration, the setbacks, and the victories. My journey taught me that slow and steady truly does win the race. It’s not just about losing weight; it’s about embracing a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Let me be your guide on this journey. Together, we’ll navigate the challenges and celebrate the triumphs. It’s a path to walk, not a race to run, and I’m here to help you navigate it with confidence and resilience. Let’s embark on this journey to health and fitness together.
